I put it on as soon as I found out, so I hope that visitors to this blog had a good time exploring all those others!

The next "Theme Day" is about water, so I should be able to take part in that one, as well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-77419172639974146322008-03-03T02:57:00.000+00:002008-03-03T02:57:00.000+00:00Your doing a fantastic job Martin. Have just spent more time than I should looking through it and thoroughly enjoyed everything I have seen. More people throughout the world, so willing to share their pastime than I would have thought. Thank You.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-32759637575634895962008-03-02T23:39:00.000+00:002008-03-02T23:39:00.000+00:00I am pleasantly surprised by the response to this!...I am pleasantly surprised by the response to this! To me, it's not a patch on all the colourful photos of grand pieces of graffiti art that have appeared on some web sites. I am pleased that the humour of the photo comes through.
One thing that doing this photo blog has taught me is to look at things I would normally have just walked past!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-41089365764185534022008-03-02T20:42:00.000+00:002008-03-02T20:42:00.000+00:00Brilliant photography again Martin.Brilliant photography again Martin.Ashtonianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14669236045514900658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-89575467097542187222008-03-02T20:15:00.000+00:002008-03-02T20:15:00.000+00:00And the work required to clean that wall is huge. ...And the work required to clean that wall is huge. New Lees Street is one of Ashton's oddities in two senses:
1. It is one of Ashton's "dirt streets" - unadopted roads that have no proper road surface.
2. It is also one of the streets that is in two distinct parts - in this instance the two halves are separated by Cedar Park.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-25993970080604116922008-03-02T13:41:00.000+00:002008-03-02T13:41:00.000+00:00If that had been done by the mystery graffiti arti...If that had been done by the mystery graffiti artist Banksy, it would be worth thousands. Some businessman man in London,as just paid about £250,000 for a piece of his graffiti sprayed on the gable end of a property down in the South. I dont know how he is going to remove the wall without destryong the graffiti, or were he is going to display it. But Banksy cant do any wrong at the moment, lots of celebs clamouring for his stuff. I dont know how he recieves his dosh, because no one seems to know who he is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-71800927994795749592008-03-02T10:14:00.000+00:002008-03-02T10:14:00.000+00:00That person who sprayed that must be really really...That person who sprayed that must be really really annoyed!

I wonder how often rubbish gets dumped there ;-)

Happy Theme Day!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07080519535469962444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-18752171694158655462008-03-02T07:52:00.000+00:002008-03-02T07:52:00.000+00:00spot on!spot on!Gerald (SK14)https://www.blogger.com/profile/18308693910074268386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-17433383763332524592008-03-02T06:24:00.000+00:002008-03-02T06:24:00.000+00:00theres no mistake ,,new lees st and kings rd shar...theres no mistake ,,new lees st and kings rd share the big back ,they all have their own private yards. martin you were quite lose to my neice there ,she lives in the end house on kings rd and the side of the house is on new lees st ,its a bigger house than the other ones ,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-89766315234988699382008-03-02T04:47:00.000+00:002008-03-02T04:47:00.000+00:00I ponder if anyone told them that as i am sure the...I ponder if anyone told them that as i am sure the reply could be amusing :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-24285927998948463502008-03-02T04:28:00.000+00:002008-03-02T04:28:00.000+00:00You say it is New Lees St but the bin says Kings R...You say it is New Lees St but the bin says Kings Rd.
The people who dump the rubbish wont take notice of the sign anyway, in fact it could attract dumping.Outhouse Capital of Canadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02291818383230828720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3488915945983500085.post-16320365233161374462008-03-02T03:08:00.000+00:002008-03-02T03:08:00.000+00:00This is a terrific photo Martin, caught just at the...This is a terrific photo Martin, caught just at the right time!. Good sense of humour to match. I can now show this photograph to people who I have been trying to describe and old English 'back yard' too for years.Just think in such a small space, so many household procedures would have taken place. Coal man used to drop coal in shed, washing dried, baths hung out before bathrooms were put in, toilet down the back, probably a few veggies grown in boxes. Just shows what amazing things could occur. Thank you.
