Back Alley


Around the backs of many of the terraced streets in Ashton you will find some sort of back alley or ginnel. Nowadays many of these have security gates which can be locked at night.

    years ago you weould have seen washing hung out across the back between these houses .and woe betide you had you gone up that back and touched it with your grubby little hands ,
