This photo was taken on the same evening as last week's photo, but looking in the other direction, away from the setting sun. The only tree anywhere near the summit of Hartshead Pike bends its barren branches towards the sky and the pointed tower.

Sky Watch is a regular weekly feature on this photo blog. It links with websites all over the world with the general theme each week of looking upwards. Please take the opportunity to visit some of these other sites. I hope some new visitors have found their way here today, watching the skies!
What a great picture! Lovely sky, such an interesting old building - and I fell in love with that tree!
ReplyDeleteSo different from last week's photo, but I can see traces of the sunset on the horizon behind the tower. Very nice, and I like the tree bending toward the tower as if for companionship.

That is a fine tower you have there, just the sort of place I like to visit while traveling. If I ever get to make a return trip to the UK and the North I will try and stop there to take in the view! Went to the Info site and read about the history of it too, very nice, thanks!
