West Door

This is the West Door of Ashton's Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels. The door stands at the foot of the 145 foot tall church tower.

The present church building dates back to the 15th century although most of the outside of the building was re-constructed in Victorian times.

  2. We should institute, "Direct the photographer" where each of us can direct the camera once in a year. For me that would be just past under the railway bridge at Charlestown Station looking at the big dig!!

  3. I like the door with the lamp hanging over it. If you didn't know it was on a church, it looks a bit haunted castle-like. You rang ...?
