Market Street Clock


As part of the "My World" feature, we take another look today at the clock that stands in Market Street, Ashton under Lyne, last seen here in June.

Behind it is the Market Hall, re-opened last year after the disastrous fire of 2004.

  3. hi great photo ,but when are they putting back the shelter with benches ,sat there many a time when its been raining , eating a chip muffin from the fish net ,they should put more benches round that area

  5. Bet there's been many an attempt at climbing it. Maybe that explains the lack of seating around the base, although it would set it off.
