Wet Day

It may come as a surprise to some of the regular visitors to this blog, but it does sometimes rain in Ashton.

Of course, I am more likely to go out to photograph something on a dry or even sunny day and I don't like to get my camera wet, so you do not often get to see photos here taken on wet days!

This particular rainy day image shows a corner of Ashton Market where some of the fruit and veg stalls are, with the Market Hall on the left and Market Avenue disappearing into the distance.

  2. We're having a wet day here and I'm loving it. We get so little 'weather' here that we call the occasional downpour a storm! And honestly when we first moved here many years ago I found myself getting bored with sunshine every day. Are we ever satisfied?!!

  3. Even in California we had rain today, and in the evening even hail (in the valley) -in the 20+ years I've lived here that happened only 2 other times! -while yesterday we went to the beach to shoot pics, lol!
