Hartshead Pike

Easter weather on the hills above Ashton. Hartshead Pike is seen here from Luzley Lane, with Mossley Road running across the picture.

  2. I like your photograph. I always like to see snow being shared by everyone. We had some yesterday here on Easter Sunday.

    Have a nice week.

  3. great pic ,but doesnt it look lonely.. i think land should be released round there and somewhere for young and old alike to go for enjoyment ,say a dance hall a casino ,a nice place to eat.a zoo for kids maybe or an aquarium with tropical fish ,just a part of it .no houses ,

  5. Have to say I agree with you anon. There's so few places left where you can have some peace. When I go to open countryside like this I see people of all ages including families and the elderly.

  6. GG!
Build a dance hall/casino/zoo on the land at Hartshead Pike? Go and wash your mouth out with soap and water!
People from all walks of life already enjoy it...for all the reasons stated by Anon and Jan. I would lay down in front of the bull dozers if they tried to mar it with any kind of amusement building!
Thank the Lord that it is green belt land.
